These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Access2Sciences platform. Please read them carefully.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Access2Sciences you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you are using the service on behalf of an institution, that institution's subscription agreement also applies and governs your access.
The service
Access2Sciences provides access to journal articles, books and chapters, biographies, briefings, curriculum maps, media and related research tools. We may update, suspend or discontinue parts of the service at any time.
Accounts & eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account. Institutional users must comply with their organisation's policies and with the applicable subscription agreement.
Access & entitlements
Access to licensed content is determined by your entitlement: individual purchases, institutional IP-range recognition, or institutional single sign-on. Access is for personal, scholarly use unless your subscription agreement permits broader use. You may not share credentials, circumvent access controls, or scrape content outside permitted text/data-mining (TDM) rights.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no attempts to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform, no infringement of intellectual property, and no automated access beyond what the TDM endpoints and rate limits allow.
Intellectual property
Content is owned by its respective publishers and licensors and is protected by copyright. Article and chapter metadata, abstracts and citations are provided for scholarly use. Open-access content is licensed under its stated licence (for example CC-BY 4.0).
Limitation of liability
The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available'. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Access2Sciences disclaims warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms, without limiting any other remedies. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property and limitation of liability) will survive.
